Photographer's Blog: The Naked Eye

When it comes down to the portrait, it’s just my naked eye that creates the image, my soul is what drives me forward!

ONE STEP CLOSER...to a better picture.

I’m here today to bring you some concepts to make your own personal pictures MORE impactful. Tips anyone can do, right now.

No fancy equipment needed.

Obviously the quality of light is one of the most important factors when photographing. The way you use light in your photo has a major effect in how people “Ohhh and Ahhh” over your photo.

Using the sun to your advantage, the harsh brightness of the sun is what you want to avoid. Taking a photo within an entryway leading to outside, using the overhang that blocks the sun, locating shade from a tree are excellent ways to use the sun to your advantage.

This one may sound like a silly tip for taking better photos, but the easiest way to take more impactful photos is to be brave and move much closer to the subject.

Start by having the entire subject fill the frame of the photo. When you think your ready to take your photo, stop and move closer.

Thats it!

Yes, it’s that easy!!
