As a landscape and portrait photographer my passion in photographing individuals lends itself to capturing a specific uniqueness about them. Simplicity, leading lines and quality of light are instrumental in forming the image that is "pleasing to my eye".
As a resident of Long Island, the opportunities are endless in surrounding yourself with beautiful vistas. This series "Siren of the Sea" location is central to Long Island's North Forth, better known as Long Island's exquisite wine country.
As a narrative to this series, I apply the following key terms you know to be cliché when speaking of success. Confidence, trust, perseverance and creativity are extremely important factors when working with a team. In this particular series, the lack of one motivator would be paramount in the pursuit of ideal experience.
Creating these series of images in return pushed me to become emersed with the environment, thus creating stronger visual content. Propelling yourself to explore more "creative" angles is a very gratifying experience.
The sense of solitude and serene feeling created in this series gave me satisfaction and confirmation that an emotion was created. There is never a day that you find yourself not mentally challenging yourself. The experiences you have each day are there to learn from and grow. Choosing which experience you encounter throughout one day builds and creates character. Not realizing that all your small steps taken in a day is in fact one day closer to a sense of fulfillment, if your chose so.
Sometimes the path is clear for you. The rocks surrounding me created a physical path that lead me out of the water placing me in the perfect light. Trust your judgement and go with it!
Thanks for reading my post.
